Terms of Service

Yoto ("the Service") is a communication platform that lets organizations ("Channel Owners") operate private messaging channels for their members. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Yoto provides text messaging and image sharing between members and the channel they have joined. Yoto is a communication tool only: it does not process payments, hold funds or balances, or facilitate any financial transactions of any kind.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• Joining a channel through an invite associates your account with that channel. Membership changes are handled by channel staff or our support agents.

3. Channel Owners

• Channel Owners are independent organizations. They are solely responsible for the conduct of their channel, their staff, and the content they share, and for complying with the laws that apply to their own business and jurisdiction.
• Yoto is not a party to any relationship, transaction, or dispute between a Channel Owner and its members.
• Trial and subscription terms for Channel Owners are presented at sign-up. We may suspend channels that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to break the law, to send unsolicited messages, to harass others, or to share content prohibited by our Community Guidelines. We may remove content, restrict accounts, or suspend channels that violate these rules.

5. Content

You retain rights to the content you send. You grant us the limited license needed to store and deliver it to the participants of your conversation. We may review reported content for moderation purposes.

6. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts or channels that violate these terms or create risk for the Service or its users.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of the use of the Service is limited to the amount paid to us for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
