Yoto

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

This policy describes what Yoto collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account data — your email address and optional display name, used to sign you in and identify you inside your channel.
  • Messages and images — the content you send in your conversations, stored so it can be delivered and shown to the participants of those conversations.
  • Channel membership — which channel your account is associated with and how you joined (invite code or support agent).
  • Basic technical data — timestamps and security logs needed to operate the Service.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not show advertising.
  • We do not process payments and never ask for card numbers, banking details, or identity documents in chat.

Who can see your messages

Messages are visible to you and to the staff of the channel you are chatting with (or our support agents in the support lobby). Reported messages may be reviewed by moderators. Images are stored privately and served only to conversation participants through expiring links.

Retention and deletion

Content is retained while your account is active so your conversation history is available. You may request deletion of your account and associated content through the in-app support lobby, and we will remove it except where we are legally required to retain it.

Third parties

We use infrastructure providers (hosting, database, and authentication services) to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf and under their own security commitments.

Changes and contact

We will announce material changes to this policy in the app. Privacy questions and requests can be raised through the in-app support lobby.
